OASIS ON THE AVENUE

OASIS ON THE AVENUE
Nancy Herman
9" x 12"
oil on canvas board

Right in the heart of the shopping district in Chestnut Hill there is this lovely place to sit down and relax amid some well kept nature.  What a difference this kind of old faashioned town is compared to shopping in a mall with piped in music and nature confined to the very outskirts of the parking lot.

This is lovely. I very much enjoy your treatment of dabbled and reflected light.

Indeed, Chestnut Hill reminds me of how Bryn Mawr use to be

Thank you Anne. Yes it reminds me of the way Bryn Mawr used to be too. I think it may be that Chestnut Hill stays so user friendly is that Germantown Avenue is so bumpy you can't drive very fast and so the cars aren't racing to someplace else.
